Krea.ai has developed a tool which allows you to generate an image based on a sketch or a simple drawing. As you give the system a main prompt, like “A girl laying in grass, dreamlike, illustration”, and a simple sketch, it will generate an image real-time based on your inputs (your sketch + prompt.)

As you draw or make changes, the AI updates the output instantly.

We’ve tried the tool out and here is what we think:

+ It’s brilliant if you want to mock something up to be “presentable” and fast.

+ You can choose from different styles, shapes and copy & paste images – and see results instantaneously.

! You have to play around with the prompts and the AI strength, and move some items from your sketch to make subtle changes.

– You might not get brilliant pictures back. They still might be a bit wonky.

– When you put a background picture, that picture might be re-interpreted by AI and therefore undergo changes L
