So, we’ve been diving into the AI world for the past year, riding the rollercoaster between “AI is the ultimate problem solver for us” and “AI is here to snatch our jobs.” And let’s be real, that ride can leave us feeling a bit dizzy.
Armed with all the AI knowledge, I was ready to conquer the universe. I mean, I thought AI could whip up a presentation or craft an email better than I could blink! I was so sure it could happen in the time it takes to grab a cup of coffee—4 seconds, to be exact.
Then came my epic showdown with Midjourney. 4 hours in, and all I got was a metaphorical pat on the back. I felt like I’d just lost to a computer. I even tried to charm Canva, the golden child of presentation tools. But it wasn’t love at first slide. Other AI presentation tools? They were all in on the conspiracy of not making me the next Picasso. I felt dumb.
The news told that AI would eventually replace me and do a fantastic job. Nothing helped when I tried to tackle AI with that mindset. I didn’t really appreciate its usefulness, until I started using it as a tool to assist with small parts of our daily workflow, like research or text editing, in my own unique way.
ChatGPT entered the scene and dropped the mic. It casually served up a killer alternative for the flow of an important email for me as non-native speaker of English. It was small step for the world but big for me. Soon, we were tapping into valuable local insights from our local markets around the world, and I felt like an AI maestro playing a global symphony with our team. AI generation became a part of our briefs and working models. Suddenly, AI went from interesting to downright thrilling!
Ok! Getting cozy with AI wasn’t easy. It took time to accept that AI wasn’t just a tool; it was the sidekick that I needed. Starting small in the AI learning process wasn’t just about avoiding disappointment; it was about savoring the journey. Learning with AI required patience, experimentation, and a dash of resilience.
So, let curiosity be our guide, let innovation be our muse, and let the AI symphony play on. Here’s to the exciting adventure of discovering what happens when human creativity meets the limitless potential of artificial intelligence! 🚀✨
